The global energy storage systems market is projected to grow rapidly. Stationary storage applications such as grid-scale load-shifting of intermittent renewable energy and behind-the-meter household storage require low life cycle costs, while energy density requirements are less stringent than other applications. Applications include supercapacitors, lead acid batteries, flow batteries and next generation batteries.
